St Bartholomew's Church, Crewkerne: Christmas Tree Festival
December 17th - 19th, 2010
Christmas Tree Festivals are becoming popular, and this year Crewkerne will have its own. A letter from the Vicar, Michael Gallagher, has just gone out to more than 50 organisations in the town asking if they would like decorate a tree for it.
The Project Organiser is Vivienne Stuckey, who was inspired by one she saw at Thorncombe last year. These colourful events, with the church full of decorated trees, bring lots of people into the church and the town, and are enjoyed by all ages. They enable local organisations to display what they do, and they help local businesses by increasing footfall in the town.

Extra-Ordinary General Meeting - It was decided at an EGM held on Tuesday 9th February, 2010, that an emergency recovery plan would be put in place by remaining Managing Group Members. Details of this will be released formally in due course but include an Acting President, a reduced number of meetings in order to concentrate attendance on essential town bodies such as Town Council and ABCD, and a drive to recover outstanding accounts both for the Directory and Membership Subs. All members are kindly asked to ensure they have a CURRENT Standing Order for this year's subscription of £20 per business.
