CALIBRE
Welcome to the CALIBRE page of the Crewkerne website.
CALIBRE (Crewkerne And Locality: Industry, Business & Rural Enterprise) is a subgroup of the ABCD project and was formed in 2007 to 'promote Crewkerne & district as a business location'. The CALIBRE Group currently consists of local entrepreneur and former Chamber of Commerce leader, Marcus Barrett (Chairman), Somerset County Councillor, John Dyke, and South Somerset District Councillor and former Town Councillor, Angie Singleton.
The group published a short report in 2007 - many of the targets of which have been met by a dynamic business community in the area in the time since. CALIBRE is currently working on actions to back business in the town.
The aim of CALIBRE is simple: to raise awareness at large of the many advantages to doing business in Crewkerne and its area.
